Walk for Japan!!

SSEAYP (Ship for the Southeast Asian Youth Programme) International Brunei would like to invite all members of BJFA-UBD Chapter to the Charity Walkathon to raise money for the National Fund on Great East Japan Earthquake.


Also opened to members of the public


Event: Charity Walkathon

- Male Category, 5km.
- Female Category, 3km.

Date: 3rd July 2011 (Sunday)

Time: 6.30 am

Venue: Track and Field, Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex, Berakas.
(Next to the Anggerek Desa Swimming pool)

Officiated by Dato Paduka Sa Bali Bin Abas, Permenant Secretary at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.

Walk-in Registration at the Registration Desk.
There will be donation boxes and they also will be selling "Birds of Friendship" Logo T-shirts.

All participants will receive the participation certificate.

This Charity Walkathon is organised by the former participants of the SSEAYP in collaboration and support with the Youth and Sports Department Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.

This project is the special project which aims to show our sympathy and sending the good strong will from all youths and the Peoples of Brunei Darussalam to our Japanese friends and their families who have suffered from the recent 13th March Earthquake and Tsunami disaster in Japan.

As a token of gratitude and in memory of all the times that the Japanese Government has paid for our expenses during the SSEAYP Program, and the Japanese people who has held a special place in our hearts. Remember all the homestays, those unforgettable times on Nippon Maru / Fuji Maru and all the brothers and sisters we made all over South East Asia.

BIBD's Fundraising Charity Campaign for Japan

Let's help Japan! We need volunteers!

BIBD is organizing a fundraising charity campaign held this Sunday, 19th June, 2011 from 6am to 2pm at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium, and will comprise three events; a Charity Run, a Charity Cycle and Charity Bazaar. This is part of their Charity Expedition for the tsunami and earthquake victims in Japan.

For the Charity Bazaar, we need volunteers in setting up & taking care of the booth as well as assistance in various activities that will take place during the event.

To those who are interested in volunteering, there will be meeting with Minako Sensei.

Date & Time: Thursday, 16th June 2011, 1pm.

Venue: LC/IPISOAS Building (Room G.19A)
