Heart of Borneo Night Safari Eco-Tourism Educational Trip.

BJFA-UBD Chapter is also promoting Brunei through educational trips such as the "Heart of Borneo fireflies tour" provided by Mona Florafauna Tours. Through this Eco Tourism trip the members of BJFA-UBD Chapter get to know more about Brunei Darussalam and also learn more about the wild life, natures and envoronment. In this trips members of BJFA-UBD Chapter gain experiences and knowleges to share with other members and friends, and also possibly in the future the youth from Japan. Thank you.

Notice for 5/10/2008 ONIGIRI MAKING

Cute right? :-)




Onigiri (御握り; おにぎり?), also known as Omusubi (御結び; おむすび?), is a snack of Japanese rice formed into triangle or oval shapes and often wrapped in nori (edible seaweed). Traditionally, the onigiri is filled with pickled ume fruit (umeboshi), salted salmon, katsuobushi, or any other salty or sour ingredient. In practice, pickled filling is used for preservation of the rice. Since the onigiri is one of the most famed and popular snacks in Japan, most convenience stores in Japan stock onigiri in many popular fillings and tastes. There are even specialized shops offering only handmade rice balls for take out.


To all BJFA-UBD Chapter members, tomorrow wednesday 5/10/2008, we will have Japanese Dish making call ONIGIRI :-)
Please come and learn how to make it. Please bring your own bento if you want to pack or tapau. I think there will be a fee charge (maybe just B$1or B$2)

Time: 2.30 onwards
Venue: CLT 1.11 or depends (we will inform by notice)
